You’ve probably heard that we should drink 8-10 glasses of water daily – yes? There’s a good reason for that! Our bodies are at least 80 % water. Our cells need 4 things- and water is one of them! Good clean water. Too often, we assume that hydration includes just about any wet beverage. For some, that may include tea, coffee, soda, alcohol, etc. While these are wet, they are actually dehydrating your cells and entire body.

Making changes in our health can be tough –especially if people who don’t want us to change surround us! After all, changing your habits may require them to look at their own. I like to encourage folks to take baby steps if needed, thus will recommend “Good”, “Better,” and “Best”. Here are some recommendations for improving your hydration and giving your body precisely what it needs.

Good – Eliminate the DE-hydrating beverages.
You know from watching nature that water is an amazing energy source. When you are feeling tired, dragging your but, have foggy thinking, or your skin looks old and dry, try giving your body what it really needs- water! For every glass of “hydration” that is not water, you need to offset that with good clean water. In other words, after your 8 oz. soda, make sure you drink 16 oz. of water to offset the DE-hydrating effects of the soda. I don’t know about you – but that’s a lot of liquid to consume. It’s a lot easier just to cut the sodas out altogether. Hard? It can be. However, when you start experiencing Vitality –it’s worth it.

Better Consume more water.

The recommended doses for water are now ½ your weight in ounces every day. For example, a 120 lb female should consume at least 60 ounces of water each day (roughly eight 8oz. glasses). This formula provides adequate hydration for only children and small women.  It must be customized to body size – A 200 lb person, for instance, should consume about a gallon a day. Less than that, they will obviously experience dehydration. Keep in mind; that this amount of water is just for adequate function of the body. Best –is to drink more. One more thing – be sure to drink your water from glass or BPA-free plastics.

Best Consume good water! Desert Hot Springs, in CA, has the purest, best-tasting water in the world (voted several years in a row). I’ve had the water and soaked in this amazing, pure, mineral-rich water that comes right from a tap route up from the magna inside the earth. It’s incredible. However, drinking water from Desert Hot Springs may not be possible since they don’t bottle it;) However, there are water systems/filters that come mighty close to this magnificent water.

Eliminating dehydrating beverages and replacing them with good clean water is fabulous!! What’s best, however, is giving your body an amazing flow of water that goes immediately right to the body’s power source – inside the cell. You can drink a lot of water, yet to obtain optimal cell/organ/body function – thus optimal vitality- you want it to enter the cell rapidly. Factors that contribute to good water are

  • Filtered
  • Micro-clustered
  • High pH/alkaline

There are great filters out there today that can provide all three. Some are pricy, yet the water is amazing. The health benefits of higher pH water are almost limitless. Thus, the ROI is definitely positive. Personally, I drink “Kangen” water from Enagic www.Enagic.com . Life Inoziers also has a great product.

If you cannot afford a system for your home, then I would recommend a Brita filter at a bare minimum.
